Monday Made It

This a double linky post...wait is that allowed?  I might be breaking a blogger rule...oh well, it includes yummy food, adorable doggies, and a freebie.  Y'all might forgive me:)

1.  First is the yummy food!  Christy over at Teaching Tales Along the Yellow Brick Road is having her Eating, Drinking, and Linking party (oh my! Three of my favorite things:).
Well, I am trying to be good and not bake.  So, I just want to share a quickie dessert that was a big hit!  I have been seeing all of these amazing cookies with Reeses Peanut Butter Cups (is there a Reeses Anonymous?) on Pinterest.  I thought I would try to make something with Reeses Peanut Butter Cups.
  • It was so easy!  I just used a box brownie mix - Betty Crocker Chewy.
  • I lined the 8x8 pan with non-stick foil.
  • Followed the directions on the brownie box, and poured the batter in the pan.
  • Unwrapped the miniature Reeses and pushed them into the batter - I thought that the batter would cover them, and at first I wasn't happy.
  • Baked for a little bit longer than was on the box - just keep an eye on them.
  • When they were cool, I used the foil to lift the whole square of brownies out of the pan.  That made cutting them into squares so easy.
  • It turned out that having the batter NOT cover the Reeses Peanut Butter Cups (I even love typing it:) was a good thing!  That it made it super easy to cut into deliciously ridiculously rich squares of peanut butter goodness.
Now don't forget to go over to Teaching Tales Along the Yellow Brick Road and link up with your own naughty recipe:)

2.  Now on to Monday Made It over at Fourth Grade Frolics.

For school, I finally put together my "how to" multiplication charts.  I have been doing these by hand, over and over for a few years now.  Finally, I have them in digital form and next year's students can put them in their Math Notebooks.
I finished late last night, and was so happy that I totally forgot to save it for my made it!  You can find out more about them on my Math Notebooks (Part 2 of a gazillion parts): Multiplication Facts Fast.  If you are interested in using them, the PDF can be found here:).

My home made it is a long story that can be retold in pictures:)
There were 2 dogs - granted, adorable dogs.  They got bored at home while mommy was cleaning out her classroom.

This is what mommy came home to.
So, this is what mommy "made" for two nights.
Thanks for stopping by!  Please don't forget to go by Teaching Tales Along the Yellow Brick Road to link up with one of your favorite recipes, and Fourth Grade Frolics to proudly share what you made this week.

  1. I do double linkys in one post often... there are just too many fun linkys to have a separate one for each day :)

That dessert looks so good. Definitely pinning and revisiting that recipe later this summer!

    Thanks for linking up!

  4. I think you're good on double-linking. I think that I've even triple-linked :) Your brownies look fab! And I love your home made-it. It's so hard to be mad at creatures that are so cute!

    1. And I pinned your brownies :) I'm like you. I love to go to Pinterest to see what's been pinned from my blog. Do you know how to do that? I can tell you if you don't :)

    2. Oh thank you! I check in "stats" and click on the pins, from there I click on "other from..." Is there a faster way?

And so hard to be mad because they both curled up with me to help untangle:)

That's how I've checked, but maybe there is another way than that as well. :)

  7. What a great post! Your adorable doggies and that picture totally made me remember the time my old golden retriever got bored at home while I was at work and decided to shred the sofa! Yah, not one of my better days as a doggie mom! :)

    1. Thank you! The smaller fluffy one is mine, and the dark tall Texan is my brother's. He is staying with me for the summer, and they have bonded!

  8. Hi, my name is Kristin and I'm a Reese's PBaholic. If you ever decide to start a support group, I'll join. I've pinned your dessert and will most likely make it this weekend or tomorrow.

Your fur babies are adorable, and they look completely innocent. ;)

    1. Hahaha! The brownies were so good, plus you have leftover peanut butter cups. It would be too sad to leave them:).

And as for my innocent fur babies, apparently the Kleenex box attacked them while I was getting my hair cut. Don't worry, it won't attack anyone again.

      Thanks leaving me a note:)
